Let's be honest: The SAT sucks.

Targeted, SAT-specific strategies and content
The SAT doesn't (directly) test academic skills like grammar, reading comprehension, or mathematical concepts. It tests how well you know how to take the SAT . Academic skills are simply the vehicle the SAT uses to present their (totally diabolical) puzzles.
Therefore, what I teach in this course is not plain old academic content (you can learn that stuff from your teacher at school or on Khan Academy for free) but rather how these academic skills are applied on the SAT. I'll teach you how to recognize question archetypes, what tricks and traps to watch out for, and how to navigate safely to the correct answer. And, of course, I'll teach you the time management and test-taking strategies you'll need for success.

Hi! I'm Kassandra, a veteran SAT Warrior with scores in the top 1% and over ten years of tutoring experience. I have seen so many bright, motivated, hardworking students struggle with the SAT, and it always breaks my heart to see how the number on a score report can make them begin to question their abilities...and, more heartbreaking still, their worth.
Students most often struggle on the SAT because the skills they learn in school are not the skills they need for the SAT. So I've made it my mission as a tutor to empower students with the RIGHT tools to get the job done. My programs blend strategy and content, with an emphasis not just on skill sets but how to apply them.
I know that these strategies work, because I used them myself! I was once a scared, frustrated, confused student struggling to raise my score. But with the right guidance, things started to click...and click HARD. I reached my score goals, and there's nothing I love more than to see my students do the same!
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to purchase course materials?
Nope! Nobody does the SAT like the creators of the SAT. I ALWAYS teach with official tests written by the College Board. Thankfully for all of us, the College Board provides 8 full length practice tests for free on the College Board website.
When should I enroll?
Your course comes with 12 weeks of access to the Zoom calls and Facebook(TM) group, so it's best to schedule your test date and then plan your enrollment accordingly. You can count back 12 weeks from your first test date, or plan it so that your 12 weeks straddles two test dates. Either way, plan on taking the test at least twice.
When are the Zoom calls?
Zoom calls are currently scheduled at the following times:
Tuesday 3:30 pm ET
Thursday 5:30 pm ET
Saturday 12pm ET
What if I can't attend the Zoom calls?
Replays of all the Zoom calls are available to students in the course portal. Students can also get extra help and ask questions in the Facebook(TM) group. I answer all questions within 24 hours. Just make sure you tag me so I know you need help!
Is homework assigned?
The SAT Warrior Academy includes a 12 week study plan to help students structure their learning and maintain forward momentum. I can help students decide on useful goals and targets in the Zoom calls and Facebook group. However, this course is designed to allow students to take control of their test prep journey. Ultimately, they (and their parents, where applicable) are responsible for their own pace and progress.
What if I need private help?
Normally $100/hr, private instruction is available to SAT Warriors at the discounted rate of $70/hr. You can buy in increments as low as 30 minutes. However, this service is subject to availability.
Do you offer refunds?
Refunds are available within one week from the date of purchase or before the student has completed 10% of the primary video lessons, whichever comes first. Refunds will not be granted after that point, so make sure you use that first week to check out the course videos and attend a couple of Zoom calls so that you can make sure this program is a good fit for you.
Do you offer score guarantees?
In a word...no. Your results will depend on many factors that are simply outside my control, including but not limited to your background, experience, and work ethic. However, students who have demonstrated consistent engagement and effort (as indicated by activity in the Facebook group and Zoom calls) may retain access to the calls and group for as long as it takes to reach their goals.
But other companies do offer guarantees...?
Take a good, hard look at the policies surrounding those guarantees, and you'll see why larger companies offer them. Very often, you'll find laundry lists of super strict conditions that must be met and hoops to jump through in order to qualify, and very few people end up actually getting their money back. Those companies also charge a LOT more for their services, so they can spare the (very) occasional refund to those few who qualify.
